History:
The Sedona International Film Festival And Workshop celebrates more than a decade of screenings and educational workshops. In its 11-year history, the Festival has achieved recognition as a world-class film festival. Each year, audiences and the next generation of filmmakers come together from all over the world to participate in this inspiring celebration of the power of independent film.

Audiences and filmmakers herald the Sedona International Film Festival as one of their favorites! We have garnered and impressive national reputation as one of the best festivals in the United States. We could not have achieved this without the support and partnership of the Sedona community. This is Sedona's Film Festival. From our sponsors to our volunteers and our donors to our audience members, the local community has come forward with overwhelming support for their festival.

Each year, the Sedona International Film Festival recognizes some shining stars in the movie industry. Some of the luminaries who have been guests and honorees at the festival over the years include Ed Asner, Rick Schroder, Andrew McCarthy, Donald O'Connor, Ann Miller, Sean Young, Dean Stockwell, Linda Gray, Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Diane Ladd, Amanda Plummer, Wendy Malick, Scott Baio and Jena Malone.

Many of the films screened at the Sedona International Film Festival have gone on to garner Academy Award nominations including Genghis Blues, Spellbound and Why Can't We Be A Family Again. In addition, the 2004 festival premiered What the (Bleep) Do We Know? which has gone on to national box office success.

The Frank Warner Workshop is unparalleled, and each year multiple Academy Award winners have graced the stage inspiring the next generation of filmmakers. Students of film have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work shoulder-to-shoulder with icons in the industry. It is an educational experience like no other!
