Italian aeronautical engineer Umberto Nobile enjoys a peaceful life with his beloved dog Titina, rescued from the streets of Rome. One day, the famous Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen contacts him and orders an airship to conquer the North Pole. Nobile takes the opportunity to go down in history, bringing Titina with him. The unlikely trio sets off on an expedition to the last unknown place on Earth. Their search is successful but, in the aftermath of the discovery, the two men begin to fight for glory... Through the eyes of the four-legged celebrity Titina, we rediscover a true story of triumph and defeat.
