Rolling Home (35mm, Universal, 1926)
Introduction By Marc Wanamaker
After He Is Fired A Young Man Returns To His Small Town In A “Borrowed” Limousine, To The Delight Of The Local Townspeople Who Are Convinced He Is A Millionaire.
Like So Many Silent Pictures, Rolling Home Was Considered To Be A “Lost Film”. But It Turned Out That A Private Collector, Our Good Friend Michael Aus, Had A 16mm Print. His Print Was Used To Create A New 35mm Print Which We’re Showing Here. The 16mm Print Had French Intertitles Which Have Been Translated. The Film Is Missing One Scene But An Explanatory Title Is Provided.
Many Thanks To The Packard Humanities / Stanford Theatre For Their Help On This Restoration.
